Oh dear, this chicken addiction comes on quickly, doesn't it? 6 weeks ago I didn't even have chickens and now I am planning to hatch my own

So which incubator do I want? I am on a city lot, so volume is not a priority. I would like something small that is as inexpensive as possible without being really difficult to use or unreliable. Anywhere that sells used or reconditioned units? Thanks!

Just build your own and then you can have the size you want and it's so much fun to hatching the eggs from something you built yourself

Here's mine and it works great too.

Here's the proof of babies I hatched in it.

That is EXACTLY the one I was also looking at.......

....and then I found the same make/model slighty cheaper here:

I am so conflicted! I swore I would never get involved in all the incubation & hatching drama! But now... now.....

You can get it straight from Brinsea for $119 http://www.brinsea.com/prod-Mini_Advance_fully_digital_7_egg_incubator-230.aspx . I have one with 6 duck eggs in it right now. Temp is rock solid. I really wish I had gone with another Brinsea instead of the Rcom King Suro 20.

But, but, it would be sooooo educational for my children to observe..... Yeah, that's it. For the kids..... Maybe I can figure a way for them to get school credit or something

Then I am a good mom, not a crazy chicken lady. And it is ON SALE!
