Incubator running at 101 degrees

Built in readout stays the same I adjust the calibration it stays sitting at 37.5C and I rely on my two thermometers to make sure temp is running right. Don’t worry the are right I stuck the probe in a cup of ice water and left it there for a good while and it read 32.2F and bottom reads 100.4 and top at the most I think it reads 100.8 but just for a short while and only seen it one time I they were still stabilizing
ok, that's good. any eggs you have on the bottom might be earlier than the ones on the top rack. Hope you have a good hatch! :D

I currently don’t have any on bottom. But it does make me wonder if I put some on bottom could I manipulate it to make all hatch around the same time or do I risk killing babies for the sake of a couple or few days

how big of a difference do you have in your staggered hatch? 1 degree isn't too bad, it's the difference I have in my store bought incu. from one side to the other. the ones on the hotter running side hatched maybe half a day before the ones on the other side.

The first set was supposed to hatch on December 1st the second set which is currently on day 1 (set the yesterday) so they are due to to hatch on the 6th probably not likely to get them that close huh

no. you won't be able to get them that close. do you happen to have an auto turner for the younger ones so you don't have to open the door to turn them until after the time frame for the older ones to hatch?

if not, once you see an external pip, you'll just have to stop turning. I've heard of people stopping turning earlier than day 18 and still have them hatch, but the first 2 weeks are pretty important so try to turn the younger ones as long as you can up to 18 days.

I have auto turners on top and bottom I am thinking I will be moving day 18 eggs to bottom when the time comes and unplugging the bottom turner so they are in a stable position

It's always best to run the temp lower than higher if you are unsure....... a lower temp egg will take longer to develop but will survive, run it too high and your chicks will be cooked!

Let us know when they hatch.

Well I have the temp adjusted now and everything is going well I have 15 eggs that are developing 3 are 12 days from hatching but I figure since the incubator was running at near 102 for 6 days they might be a couple of days early not sure.
