Incubator Temperature Problems ! ! (Reptipro)

Mine is the 5000 . I looked and there is a fan in the bottom in the back of the incubator but it goes on and off. I think it turns on when it does a cool down thing ??? I don't know really but I do know it's not on all the time and I think that is some of the problem. Maybe I should have got a different one ? We'll see how it works out for the next few hatches and maybe it won't be so bad ?

you said you were married if i remember right. is he (or you) handy enough to take it apart and wire the fan to be on full time? i really think that would help you.

My husband might be able to . I will see if he can once I get this batch out . I am pretty positive I couldn't do it haha ....Now the fan is on the back side on the bottom ...and it blows straight out , which would be straight across the bottom. Now wouldn't it be better to have it pointed down from the top , then it would push the hot air down ?

its best if the wind from the fan doesn't hit the eggs directly. is the heating element behind the fan in the back? that's they way I assumed it was put together.

if its visible in the incubator it will either look like a spring, or round metal tube. it might be hidden by a shield, if it is; it should have vent holes.

it does use a little different heating device than I realized, it also has a cool down function from what ive been reading. when you said cool down earlier I thought you meant when the element was off.

Awesome ! I will be giving them a call ! I hope they will be able to help me cause I don't have a receipt cause I got it used . I think it is actually for reptiles but I was told by the man who sold it to me and some other people that is does good hatching chickens . I haven't seen any of my eggs move today except for one . I hope nothing is wrong . I just wish they would start doing something already !
