Oh lord, I have 2 different thermometers in my incubator (Hova-Bator forced air, turbofan). Each has a different reading. Always. Which one is correct?? Which do I trust? One is a $12 digital one from Walmart (on the wall), the other is a $30 (spot-check) digital from Cutler Supply. The one from Walmart only reads in celsius (37 degrees = human body temp, or 98.6), the other reads both. They are different by a few degrees. Please help me and tell me which one I should trust for my call duck eggs.

We just bought a 4.99 digital human thermometer at the grocery store to check ours against. It is guaranteed accurite +/- 0.2 degrees. Worked great. and found that our three other thermometers are accurite =/- 0.1 degree. That is close enough for government work.

Mmmm'kay, now what: I have 5 thermometers in there now- the human digital said 104.8!, spot-chek said 101.6, acu-rite said 37.9 c, mercury one said 99, other mercury one said 99.5. All at the same time! Which one is right?? I tried a second time and: human digital said 98.7, spot chek said 100.9, acu-rite said 37.8 c, the 2 mercury ones read the same as before. The 2 readings were 2 minutes apart. HELP!!! This is maddening!
