Injured chicken please help!

Hi everyone!
I have a chicken named Eggany. I have the worst luck with chickens. She is about 4 months old. She flew about a week ago and landed sideways with her whole body on the chicken ramp. I have kept her inside in a secluded area with food and water. She eats and drinks and tries to stand on her own, but with no success. She can stretch her leg backwards and fully extend it, but can't walk on it. She is able to bend her hock joint and use that as support. When she tries to walk on it, its like her leg stays straight and she tumbles over like she is drunk ( face down and falls over ). I can't see a break anywhere, and when I feel her, there is no clear sign of injury; she doesn't make a sound or peck me or any reaction for that matter. Is there something I can do or that I am missing somewhere to help her?

So sorry you and Eggany are going through this! It sounds like you're doing everything you can to keep her comfortable, you're doing a great job! I don't have experience with much leg related things but this response will bump your thread to the top so hopefully someone can help you .

It would be good to get an xray to see if a bone is fractured, but that is not always possible. Do you see any swelling of the leg joints, swelling or green bruising? A chicken sling may be useful if she will tolerate one, for periods throughout the day. Food and water can be placed within reach. Remove to sleep and for rest periods. Look over the first few pages of this link with good examples:

Have 1 chicken who suddenly could not walk correctly had to, balance walk with her wings. One maybe both feet seemed deformed in that she couldn't get her feet to work as she needed. Feet would not flatten out or respond for proper walking. Otherwise she eats well, beautiful feathers and crop. Poop is firm. We think it is Marecks disease that has paralysis of part of her feet. We have her separated her from the rest of the flock because of the likely contagious nature of this disease. She gives a nice medium light green egg almost daily. Can roost well and can wrap her feet around a roost very well. Her feet are not totally paralyzed just twisted in a way she can't walk correctly. But this happened within a 2 day time period. The other chickens attacked her for having a weekness which was another reason we had to separate her. So far no other chickens are having any issues like hers. 3 months later she is still doing well. Still laying her green egg. Separated in her own cage but winter is coming and she is just in a wire cage with good rain protection but no cold or wind protection. Any suggestions for adding a type of insulation that she will not peck at as they tend to do with foam type insulations.
