Incubator too hot but eggs developing fine, what can i expect?

102 is ideal for still air bators in MY experience.. where are your thermometer located?? on the rack floor, on top of the eggs, etc.

Where's your humidity?

I agree IF anything hatches and it may since life finds a way.. it will be early and possibly with deformities. like missing eyes, exposed brain, bent toes, splayed legs, etc..

I place a thermometer on the rack and another on top of the eggs. The humidity during hatch was too high, between 70 and 80(duck eggs btw) and after the first one hatched the humidity shot up too. Thanks for the PDF btw I'll check it out.

The one on top of the eggs is the one that counts. Bottom of the eggs is alomost irrelevant and should be reading lower than the other one accounting for differences in the stratified air.

Humidity always spikes during hatch as you describe, in my experience. One reason I don;t worry abot getting it too high.

My PDF won't be as relevant to duck eggs (I should of asked) regarding which day things happen on though it will still correlate.. the deformities and such.. still highly likely.. it wouldn't be the first time ducklings were born without eyes or other anamolies.. even from a natural hatch due to excessively high ambient temperautres during summer time.
