With to thermostats are you sure it is wired correct, both need wire inline ,so either should turn it off......the reason sportsmans had back up ,was so when one wafer when bad the 2nd would turn it off.
wire goes from supply to first thermostat then to 2nd thermostat then to the heating unit.(the hot wire) guess both could be bad ,but that would be odd.
