incubator too hot

It had been steady at 102 for days but then Monday I came home and it was 105. So we adjusted it. It was stable for hours. But I guess it wasn't set right. Idk.

If its one of those that had the little "stem" to adjust---they are so touchy----if it has a little age when you are getting it ready for the next set-up turn the knob all the way one way and back all the way the other several times----without forcing----this cleans of the inside of the rheostat and seems to help where it is not as touchy. Good Luck

Thank you. Yes it's got the stem. So that must be it. We candles yesterday and discarded a lot of quitters. Stopped before the high temp. But there's a few that may have kept going. Well have to wait and see.

Hey Fur-mum-- what was the end result for you? My incubator spiked to 109 overnight. I've since switched, but they were at 109 for at least 12 hours (perhaps a bit lower, but not much-- I was using a touchy thermometer). It was the first evening, so I'm hoping I haven't ruined the whole batch!
