I also don't have a fan. So far I'm doing ok without one

What kind of incubator do you have? If it's a still air, typically in any model it will require a higher temp of 101 - 102 or so, but depends on what model incubator you have.

It's good to fire up your bator and the temp & humidity get acclimated and let it run 12 hrs or so before you set the eggs.

AS Smitty suggests, you have a still air unit, if the fan isnt working. They have been the standard for a lot of years, so dont fret too much.

But the fan is there for a reason - it helps to evenly distribute air and thus heat around the egg chamber. Try to get it working for the next batch, or before you set your first in it...
