SUCCESS! The eggs from my CX hen are developing! Woo hoo! Not sure who dad is for these eggs but I seperated her today with a crele orpington roo. Hopefully he's up for the task. I also picked up a young Shamo yesterday that I plan to incorporate in to this project.

I am in the "semi" hatching mood. between illness and other things they just kind of build. I will get one more hatch before winter makes it impractical to try and ship them off to anyone. This is my chance to get some birds south.

I just store them on a turntable so they are not just lying on one side. I wish toad eggs were not so touchy, I think some of it is just poor fertility from the baby Huey size roosters. Of course the one that got tangled in the electric fence today won't have good sperm for 6 weeks now..Poor guy.
