Incubators Anonymous

I moved all my quail out to the hutch today. I figured since I started getting an egg here and there, they're old enough to go out. They're very excited with their new home :) Most of their pen has a wire floor but the other section has shavings. They've been having fun dust bathing in the shavings. I can't wait to start hatching quail babies :) Maybe I can hold off till next spring... Maybe

Does hatching quail even count? They only take about 17 days & act more like busy bumblebees than chicks.

...........You know you want to see some day old quail!

Anything that pops out of an egg counts, especially since they grow so fast! But they are little busy little bees! Love baby quail!
 
I did 2 hatches of quail. The first set hatched and I started a second, then my husband’s appendix ruptured, he had emergency surgery and was laid up for months. we hadn’t finished the quail pens and I was taking care of him so I gave away or sold all the chicks. Such fun to watch hatch.
