Incubators Anonymous

I'm guessing it got snuck under her later. The other girls were bad about shoving her off her eggs and laying in her nest. It's a chicken egg. On day 22 there where two left and I opened one because it had no aircell so I thought it was bad. The live chick looked about 14 days along, so I've been patiently waiting on this one.

Hi everyone!
My name is Cyprus and I'm trying to curb my chronic incubation addiction. Last year I was hatching for about 3 months straight. This year, my first batch is on day 7 today. I am hoping I stop after two sets. We'll see about that.

Welcome! You know 2 sets won't give you anywhere near as many pullets you want! I've been hatching for 4-5 months straight now...

Joining in! I currently have two table top baters going with turkey eggs, mixes, and some blr wyandottes. Just put some silkies and a few mixes into lockdown.

I have a lovely mixed carton I collected this week that I desperately want to incubate, but I can't. We will be out of town for the week they would fall due. I butchered the roos this week too. It's killing me!

I won't be able to set anything else until the end of May now. I'll just have to live vicariously through you guys!

Beautiful eggs!

I guess we all better start posting baby pictures then lol. I have turkeys due by Saturday (one hatched yesterday while I was moving them to lockdown), a few runner ducks for a friend, some silkies and ameraucanas all due Saturday.

Hi everyone!

Welcome...... but this is not for those trying to kick the habit. LOL it's more those who need encouragement, enabling, and support from like-minded addicts. ie - How do you explain to your spouse that you NEED a second incubator to use as a hatcher? OR A logical explanation about how those mysterious eggs that found their way into your incubator.

Again welcome & join in on the fun!

This is the one bonus of having an incubator that you can't see in to. It bugged me at first but DH can't see how many eggs are in it and doesn't look lol. I don't think I'll ever change to the clear door like I thought about doing :lau
