If the other way was working for you try that again. I can't do that high of humidity here.... they would drown for sure. So, I have an incubation issue! I need help!
My hova bator that I've been using for months and did great, said to incubate between 50-55% humidity and to hatch at 55-60% which worked awesome.
Now I've built my new cabinet bator and decided to try "dry" incubation. So it runs on average at 27% humidity and the air cells seem good when going into lockdown in the Hovabator.
I add the water to the HB to get humidity up the same as it said to in the beginning, 55-60% and my hatches are HORRIBLE!
I had 4 turkey eggs in there that I finally pulled yesterday. They were all dead, fully formed and at least 1 had even internally pipped. Yolk sack was even partially absorbed!
Am I drowning them? When u dry incubate, do u not raise humidity as high?
I've gotten very frustrated! Everything was going well, I shouldn't have changed! Its just easier to not try and keep the levels so high during the 18 days!

So if it was at 26% during incubation, then you're saying the hatcher should be at 39% correct? If you are trying the dry humidity hatch the lock down should not really be more then half again as much as it was during incubation .....
Midget Whites.What breed?
