 Coolest preschool teacher EVER!

The teacher is awesome but I just volunteer there. I work at a high school as a teachers aid for a CNA class part time so when I'm off work I'm at my daughters school helping anyone who needs it. The kids needed a "life science" project so now I have several classes that we are planning to hatch for. It's a great excuse to hatch out my chickens! Lol

I candled my eggs and there are a few I can't see whether the chick is moving or not, but I locked them all down.
Let the nail-biting begin!!!
Right there with ya on the nail biting! 2 eggs hatched, 11 to go! Good luck!!

That's just awesome. I may have to mention a hatching project to my kids teachers....

Omg, meltdown time...how the HEEECCKKK do I keep my humidity up in this awful dry weather??!!! Yes, I am screeching, and I have a lockdown at9:30 am in my (ill say it for you to get that detail out of the way) piece of CRAP lg incubator (or three).

I have paper towels, sponges, restriced fan airflow..any more ideas? Never had a problem before this cold snap! Located in north texas dfw.

Use a diaper. Completely soak it in warm water and set it inside. That's what I did. I couldn't get it to sit above 55% before. Now it's at 70-72%. Or if you happen to have sanitary napkins in your house... those work too. I also have the ummm piece of crap LOL

I'm in Stephenville and I'm having the same problem. It seems like I'll be giving those chicks swimming lessons before the humidity get right.

Be careful. That's how I got the rep as a "chicken expert." Now I think I'm on their speed dial when they need fertile eggs or have incubator issues. I even helped the preschool write a grant to purchase an incubator. I noticed my ph# was taped to side of the incubator.
