Hi, My name is Bazy

I am a hatchaholic

I joined the New Year's BYC Hatchalong

Do I have time to hatch one more batch before the hatchalong hatch?

I just had this need to confess this I guess..LOL



(we need to petition Webster's to add hatchaholic with a capital "H")

Yumm... yes...of course there is time for a New Years day pre-hatch...warming up for the bid event! Always good to know everything is in perfect working order and what better way than a prehatch..right????

There is always time for one more hatch! ;-)

I joined too. And set 27 eggs yesterday and have another 14 ordered to arrive any day

Still haven't found eggs for the hatchalong. I'm hoping to find Sebright eggs!

Right next to 'Hatchaholic' they'll need a group pic of all of us. Or we could have an egg setting contest to determine which of us deserves the spotlight! You know... Just to make it fair...

Hunting for bantam cochin eggs as we speak d=for the hatch so hoping I can locate some! So far I have on

ly found some that are crossed with frizzle. Although the frizzle mixes are adorable, I really want smooth feathered...or silkie mix would be fine too...ANY color

I hope you find some eggs! I wanted to do sebrights but the only eggs I found were sebright mixes and I wanted pure so I'm going with Serama. Haha I have to play catch-up a lot too. It's getting hard to keep track of all the people that are part of it but I love the idea of everyone setting together!

look up luckypickens I got my bantam Cochins from her! I think she has 1 frizzled kind but almost all are smooth.

Here are some better pictures of the Bantam Cochin babies. They are all bantam cochins a week old today! I started with 24 (20 cochin and 4 extra mystery eggs for the kids) eggs all arrived looking great but I was hatching in a classroom and there were more that a couple lost to kids touching. These are the survivors! There are 8 cochins and 3 mystery chicks!

Here are some better pictures of the Bantam Cochin babies. They are all bantam cochins a week old today! I started with 24 (20 cochin and 4 extra mystery eggs for the kids) eggs all arrived looking great but I was hatching in a classroom and there were more that a couple lost to kids touching. They deserve warrior names for surviving a classroom lol adorable little babies!

There are 23 babies all together and a few were named by the kids... blackie, crunchie, Butthead (DH named that one), Gut-loria (my daughter named this one due to an open belly button I stitched up). I think warrior names are great! Even god names would work like Hercules, Zeus, and so on!

The God names would be great! You could have Zeus, Hercules, Hera, Loki, etc... And butthead LOL poor little thing got short changed by the naming board

Oh, wow! Are they already starting the NYD Hatchalong? I better get over there. I might actually be able to participate this year!!!

TeaChick, you didn't tell me you had a baby! Congratulations and she is very cute!

Oh, did I mention that... Since only one hatched, I have to hatch her a flock!!! So I set one egg from each of my hens (8) and they're due Dec 11th. I'm sooooooo egg-cited!!!
There are pics on my thread.
If anyone wants me to post them here, I will. =)
