Eggs are the easy part!

ok can I use part of a mattress pad *egg crate* to make a turner????? I have an idea. I would still have to lift, or move it someway but not sure if I can use it?

i wouldn't. too hard to keep clean between hatches.
easy turner but semi-manual, 1/2" pvc pipe, coathanger wire. - drill a small hole thru the pvc pieces (cut long enough to fit in the 'bator but not so long that they hit the sides), wire together with the coathanger wire, spaced 1.5-2" apart. make the 'rack' short enough that it can move side to side in the incubator about 4-5". drill a small hole in the side of the incubator, big enough for the wire to go thru. push it thru and attach to the middle of your 'rack'. test it with a few duds or grocery eggs, rolling them back and forth to make sure it works. then just remember to turn them 3 or more times a day. go easy, no bump & jerk. that doesn't help them develop. LOL. practice with the duds first.

Sold some chicks today and they want some EE and call ducks (i don't know about those but I could hatch them, if I could find them) I love chicks....

didn't sell any chicks, but did sell 9 of my assorteds that didn't fit in anymore... including 5 ROOS! wow.
had one woman arguing with me, that my silver laced cochins weren't roos, they were hens! ok whatever $5 each. LOL

Now i'm down to just bantam cochins, a few EE's (plus some chicks - i'm weak) and my dorkings. oh and the ones hubby wouldn't let me part with - my 2 oegb, & bantam rir. and a few mutt babies. but he says i can take all i want to the sale, if i come back empty LOL
