Just squirted food coloring into chicken vents! NOT a fun experience!!! Wound up with poo all over me! But got a few whom I need to replace, just gotta figure out which ones they r. Lol

hope you used a different color for each girl... a friend did that a while back, used the same color. I asked her, so how do you know who's NOT laying, if all the eggs have color?

That's hilarious!! Total "Duh" moment. Lol I have plenty of those, but yes, I used different colors. Lol Each chicken has a different color band, & I matched that color.

I have an egg I noticed pipped like 10 hours ago and its has made ZERO progress since then. Had another pipped that I saw this morning, and its made a hole big enough I can see the chick. How long do I wait before I should assist the no progress one? I'm afraid to open the bator when I have another small pip too.
 
I just received my shipped eggs!! All 24 made it from Indiana without the smallest crack! I have them resting right now and the incubator is waiting. These will be lavendar orpingtons and buff laced brahmas.
