What type of incubator is your LG? I had the same thing happen with a Hova I was borrowing but after doing some fine tuning it's been running steady temp for 3 days now and no more spikes. I still may wire in a new fan direct as the current one only comes on when the heater engages and shuts off when it reaches temp. I want a constant circulation like my home made incubator.
It should have the holes there already for a fan as I installed one in a friends last year. I just used an old fan out of a tower computer. You can have your bf look at it and see if he can help you. I think if you can get a fan in there you will have much more stable temps as it worked perfectly for my friends. Wish I were closer I'd do it for you but..Its just the Little Giant from TSC. I'm thinking 6100, something like that, but idr for sure. Just a still air Styrofoam. Was my very 1st, bought used, now I'm trying to make it a hatcher, because I have weekly lockdowns starting tomorrow. My HB Genesis has been doing amazing holding temp and humidity, almost boring, but as of day 14, id only lost 1 of the set going on lockdown tomorrow. I don't have the patience to build things. I have no imagination, so if its not step by step written out for me, I just cannot do it. Lol My bf even literally draws me pics sometimes when we r building together.

It may be a lil small but any 2 wire fan should work or at the very least help circulate some air. If you canand get one from an old tower would be best. I know the computer supply store has them here for around $2. I just wired it to an old cell phone charger for power if you have one of those laying around. It does have 2 very small holes on each side of each of the little windows. idk if those r what u mean. I'm wondering if a laptop fan is the same? I have one with a busted screen that has been sitting in top of my closet for a year. My bf is actually very tech savy, so I will definitely ask him to do it if that fan would work? That would be awesome!!
Quote: computer fans come in a variety of sizes. measure the distance between the holes, in mm. that's what size fan you need. (hubby says outside edge of fan) but the ones in my hovabators are either 70 or 75mm fans.
trust the one on the control module... it and the one on the left are reading nearly the same, I'd say that's what I'd go by, rather than something that's way outside of the average...Please help me - I am driving myself crazy!! My new spot check from Brinsea is consistently running a degree or more higher than my other thermometers. I don't know which to trust!

I have one of the incu-kits and it's dead on too.
what are you using for your incubator body tho? and what's the grid in the bottom?
