see, my method for chicken math is that roosters don't count. broodies don't count. chicks under broodies don't count. actually chicks don't count. the only ones that count are the birds in the breeding pens. oh. but did I mention broodies don't count? oh and the free range girls don't count either, since I can't ever find their eggs...

so... by my estimate, I have... 12 birds. or so.

that's not counting the 22 roosters, 14 free range girls, 8 broodies and numerous youngsters who aren't laying yet. I'm sure I didn't miss anyone else.

Wow I wish the person who Audited my Taxes would count like that ..

Wow! I'm so glad I'm not the only one In this chicken crazy boat! I want so bad to hatch chicks this year I can,t stand it.Brand new incubator just sitting there calling my name! I have to wait till next year!

I have my heart set on black and blue copper marans! I've been watching and drooling over chocolate eggs!

Hope I can find some hatching eggs somewhere in Washington state so they won't have to come so far.

I love my marans! You won't be disappointed. Collecting those gorgeous chocolate eggs is a real treat! Would love to have some olive eggers too someday!

Ya that would be awsome! I like all the different colors and shades in the egg basket.Sooooo pretty! I have some easter eggers and some cuckoo marans.My cuckoo marans eggs are not so dark and the hens are getting old.So I've been dreaming of blue and black coppers.I thought about ordering marans but they say the eggs are not very dark!So hatch them I will Jan.1st.....

Yeah, it's definitely best to get them from a breeder if you want the really nice egg color for sure. It'd be neat to have colorful little bantam eggs too. I have too many wants!
