Gimmebirdies. I would do that but my flock is a little picky. They tend to get very pecky and I'd be afraid for the babies, even for the time frame of them sitting there till I have them.

My newest hatch early but healthy ...:)

NONE of my hens will brood.
I had a Rhode Island Red brooding for about 2 weeks, and then it got cold out and she quit...?

Me talking about not getting broody's must have done the trick, I think my blue Cochin has decided she wants to give it a go. Will give her till Sunday to see if she's being serious. :p

i am just beginning this appearant addiction. Although, i think it is my dads addiction and he is living it vicariously through me. i have 23 eggs to hatch in 7 days, put 12 in last night that he ordered online and he called last night to say he found a lady with some ducks down the road from him who is giving him all the eggs she can collect in the next week for us to hatch.. free.. (oh.. thats another question...)

i think i am going to need to find a new home for my incubator! its on my dresser now and the noise from the turner is driving my DH mad! wait till i move them to the hatcher and there is peeping all the time!

How sad! I have 9 dozen eggs on my countertop because I never have enough room in my bator! I HAVE to get my cabinet bator built!!! So many wasted babies!!!
I am in the same boat, 9 doz sitting waiting for the ones in lockdown to hatch. Until I get the monster bators running so I will never have a room problem again. Good Luck!

My call ducks are hatching! Had 2 hatch overnight all by themselves and 2 more external pips now. The red Dorkings should be hatching tomorrow or Friday and the turkeys go into lockdown tonight! You know what this means? More room for new eggs!!!
