Aaaaah lockdown starts Tuesday! Hoping these little bantams come early....

My lockdown is Thursday....assorted eggs. 5 Wheaten Marans, 1 FBCM, 1 Salmon Favorelle, and 8 Blue laced red wyandottes. Only want to keep one female of each kind. Hope to sell the rest. Already have 2 on waiting list for any BLRW I may hatch! I was given the SF at the Poultry show when a hen being judged laid it and the owner gave it to me...The FBCMs egg was bartered for 4 girl scout cookies. That egg is from a 2 time grand champion hen! The man was selling them for 12 for $75! My DH wants to keep that one no matter what it is. Said he would name it Do-Si-Do.

can you tell i have a 'thing' for chipmunk stripes? 8) even the blondies in the left feed pan have faint stripes...

i think a few of the bantams might be bantam ee's... they've got dark legs and i can't think of any other breeds that do, that come in chipmunk stripes...

That is a sea of chipmunks LOL.... BLRW are Chipmunks... no dark legs though.

Had an awesome hatch this week, 11 Lemon Cuckoo Orps and 1 SLW. I originally set 15 LC eggs, 11 made it to lockdown and all 11 hatched

They were Chicksomy eggs if anyone is looking, highly recommended!

I set 36 barnyard mixed eggs yesterday,some are green, there's a jungle fowl rooster mix involved so it should be a surprise hatch.

I hatched 1 Lemon cuckoo so he sent me some more... so if they hatch will have to keep them and breed them too

I wish he had not shipped them by accident

Overoberly: I hatched some SOLID blue and 1 SOLID BLACK chicks from some shipped eggs SUPER EXCITED to finally have some solid blue Rocks to work with. That was one of my first project birds and could never get a Roo and maybe now I have something to work with. I have a Black Roo on order from YardfullofRocks too

and just went home with a nice couple, along with their 4 older sibs (3 months old)
