What is a lemon cuckoo exactly?  I have one chick and 2 or 3 more eggs developing and I don't know anything about them.  Are they just a light light yellow color that is barred or is there something else I need to know

I just discovered them recently, and am now needing more this is my roo....

Most people who have them are not yet producing 100% barred pullets, I've hatched them a couple of times and still getting some solid pullets.

Btw that blue Barred rock pullet way back when that we thought was solid, developed barring as she got older

Both of those pullets I hatched are now laying!

Ok.... Question. I didn't get pictures but I can. My 1 choc wyandotte that hatced yesterday is black with a silvery look... almost blue but not. The other chicks is SILVER with a black mark on its head and neck a little. I don't understand the coloring. When she jumped the fence she was with a black laced red wyandotte and the choc wyandotte roo are the only ones she could have been with POSITIVE. So if he is black and she is basically a black why is the chick silver, gray, blue....

Yeah, I came home to a pip in the first egg. On exactly 21 days, give or take an hour or so. I am so happy. My daughter is playing mother hen tonight and is planning on sleeping next to the bator to make sure everything is ok. This is so awesome, I am def going to need more eggs

I've had the same eggs pipped in the hatcher since this morning.. chirping away.. come ON already! There is no way I'll sleep tonight.. actually slept last night so I'm ahead of the game for at least two days. Just need more coffee and a good flashlight.
