What does everybody use to clean your incubators after a hatch? I used a bleach spray and scrubbed it and then rinsed it is that okay?
I use an antibacterial soap and very hot water to scrub it well without scratching. I rinse and then spray it down with a strong oxine solution and let it dry thoroughly in the heat before restabilizing the temps/humidity levels and resetting eggs. I cannot tolerate bleach so I never use that. It gives me such a headache..

Oxine.... that is it. I use it in the water in the hatcher too. I wipe the hatcher down with a damp rag to get up all the down and egg shells. Then I spay an Oxine/water mix in the hatcher and let it sit then wipe it down to get the excess water out. I clean everything with oxine. The hatching baskets the shelf liner and the egg cartons. I use it in the incubator too.

My hatcher was at 95 this morning and that was the high since yesterday. I plugged a couple of holes at the top and 1/2 of 2 holes and when I left the temp was at 99. I had 2 chicks out this morning so if it was really running cooler it didn't hurt anything since they hatched a day early. Several pips and one more Olive Egger hatched before the day was out. I hope it is going to be a good hatch

all the other in the incubator are developing too.... SO excited!

I got myself a incubator!! A Hovabator Genesis with a chicken and quail turner soon to be a goose turner.

Farmers only worry during the growing season, but towns people worry all the time.
