My broody hen just hatched her eggs yesterday!! i call her mrs. foreverbroody because she just never quits so i gave her some eggs to hatch in the hope that it would cure her.. Just about 8-9 mutt eggs. They were supposed to hatch today but the little guys popped out yesterday while i was at work. Not sure how many chickies are under her or how many still to go so i will have to look tonight when i get home!! can't wait!, nothing more fun than checking out new chicks

Well 3 little olivers have hatched, 2 yesterday and a latecomer today. One BCM egg seems to have died a couple days ago; the other it does sound like some faint pecking in there so will leave it in longer. Have some more due on Thanksgiving day.

Hey Congrats on the hatch :)!! give that eggy a bit more time, My BCM's are always late and i hatch lots of them, kinda weird really.

My hen was sitting on 6 chicks and one unhatched egg.. (a marans egg LOL!!) but this morning one of the chicks didn't make it so she has a total of 5. I wonder if it got trampled, i'm not used to having hens with chicks so not sure how they behave.

Hi, my name is Johnny and I am a hatchaholic. I am planning on setting eggs on December 1st for Santa to deliver some chicks. They will be Easter eggers. The papas are ameraucanas over a mix of breeds. Can't wait.
 
Hi Johnny, I had the same idea, but then remembered we are going away on 27th and the chicks would be very young to be left by then so I set some 2 days ago instead!!
