I have eaten some of them, but really doing it on your own is kinda crappy. I can kill them and prepare them but it just takes alot of fortitude to do it with no support, so i just decided not to..

hope this roo guy sticks around!!!

If you were closer I am sure my DH would show you how. Once the roos are of age here he will be doing them. Maybe I can video it for you. i know it will be a bit gross and bloody.

that's cool. I ran across the directions online from an old Sears caponizing kit, but really would like to see more. Might do as they suggested tho and practice on a fryer after he's dead

My DH is one of those guys that reads something once or watches it once and remembers it forever. yes I hate him most days. LOL

Roos are dinners here. DH is planning to make capones in a few weeks to see if there is a difference int he meat.

I'm thinking of trying that this next year. I am going to practice on some butchered roos first so I can do it quickly and cleanly. If I get good at it then perhaps I can make capons and when they are healed sell them to someone who wants to grow them out for the gormet (sp?) restaurant business. I am going to be hatching so that could be a good way to market the extra roos. Not many people want to try it.

There are a couple of good videos on YouTube.
