Incubators Anonymous

Where can I get the plastic egg cartons? I only have styrofoam and paper !

I've only hatched one time in my brinsea mini, then i quickly decided it wasn't big enough

So on to something bigger

If I said plastic I am sorry. Styrofoam is what I hatch in. I use the big plastic flats to incubate in. I got mine off ebay for less than $3 each tray. You could cut them and hatch in them. I have thought about it too. That is on my to do list.

There are 784 pages in this thread and y'all are encouraging people to keep incubating.
You might as well hold the AA meetings at a bar.

I am going to be getting back into birds and fear I will suffer the same horrible fate as y'all
and worry that I will end up with hundreds of button quail.....

this thread is not for interventions, or how to stop incubating, it's to enable and encourage people to!

Since it is titled "Incubators Anonymous" you can understand my expectations.
If you incubate too much do you grow hair on your palms?

On a more serious note there is little that is as gratifying as hatching eggs.
My wife fails to understand why I find birds so interesting, but I am sure y'all know why.
I especially love to hand feed parrots, but any baby bird that needs hand feeding will do.....

its amazing that a mammal can be pregnant and grow a child by supplying it with nutrients.

Its mind blowing that all that is needed to "make" a bird is right in that egg.

Okay guys. Today is day 7. I just sat in my closet and candled. All of the eggs I got locally are clear :( I think maybe her drake is either infertile or not covering her ladies. 6 of the khaki Campbell eggs and the one Indian runner all have veining, but it's not on the side like I've always seen in the pictures, it's up at the top by the air cell. I'm hoping they're okay. One of the KC eggs has a blood ring. :(
