Incubators Anonymous

I got 18 jumbo coturnix in the bator. I also got the first ever egg laid on our little farm in there(along with some of its egg siblings) . Taylor(12) paid 20$ for a pair of self blue oegb, might as well put some of those in the bator too.

Her mother was really excited and wants to get chickens. She may get the hatching bug when she gets a good hatch.
ROFL THat is how it works. lol

My son told me a teacher needs duck eggs for science class-- how can I not donate eggs for hatching. Waiting for a replay and did offer to take the ducklings back.

They are not coming back to me.... she has already had someone offer to take the chicks...... that has left her MOTHER in the cold LOL. She will be coming to me to get some pullets in a few weeks.

I have only 4 chicks, 4 ducklings I only count what is in the inside brooders..otherwise they are started pullets etc..and eggs. Are just potential chick ,ducks and Turkeys....that is my story and I am sticking to it.

OK I have a problem :) I hatched 28 chicks from the incubator the first time and they are four weeks old now. I didn't expect such a good hatch. Half way through I ordered more eggs, and my incubator is full again - nine have hatched since yesterday and about 12 more are pipping. Where the heck am I going to put them all? I figured we'd process some of the roos but my gosh! Any advice for giving away/selling extras? I don't think I need 20+ hens laying eggs this summer, even with three boys!
