I have 12 Silkie eggs, 8 Buff Sebright eggs, 7 Ginger Red OEB Eggs coming in the mail along with a possibility of 5+ d'Uccle eggs, and 6 Welsummer eggs. Even if there are extras I should fit them all. What are the chances with the total being over 42 eggs my turner can hold that actually make it? The Welsummer person usually send s 12 or more for the price of 6.

BTW my DH has no idea I purchased the eggs. I'll tell him when he comes home late next week.

Going to be a busy week for me, I have a broody cochin hatching silkie eggs tomorrow and brahma eggs going into lockdown tonight for the bator. ....... not sure where I'm going to stick stuff anymore lol. Must expand!!

My first four babies (my little teenagers) from march have been with the big flock for about a week now and so far everyone appears to be getting along, either that or my adult chickens just don't really care (they're free range) my little teenagers just hang out by the coop.

No, i'v seen sevral videos where they've taken the lid right off and kept it off for sevral minuets while taking close ups of the chicks hatching. Look at this one, for example, he's even touching the eggs!

Wow that's ridiculous.

day 18 so excited out of 40 eggs 33 have made it this far just a few more days to see who hatches can't wait

I have in lockdown (due date is today), Marans eggs from my own hens, and shipped Lavender Orpington eggs.

The Marans are hatching and pipping, but I can't see even a pip on any of the orp eggs. *sigh*

Oh no that sucks, I have lavender and jubilee orps in my incubator right now I was going to have them shipped but the town was only 3 hrs away so I went and picked them up myself I believe 9 out of 12 have made it this far for the lavender and 13 out of 16 for the jubilee hatch day is Saturday

I ordered a new brooder & it was delivered today. I don't do "measurements" well, so I was like oh idk about 4' square should do. HOLY CRAP!!!!!!! Its HUGE!!!!!! Lmao! Better get to hatching more babies!
I believe there are no accidents. It was definitely a sign. And permission to get a bigger 'bator. You'll need more eggs to fill that brooder with chicks!

It's not right to let all that nice space go to waste.
