WARNING: GRAPHIC PHOTO

This is the baby that has what looks like its insides on the outside.

Still very much alive today, and I wasn't able to see much left out. I am hoping it is a sign that it is healing on its own.

That might heal up. Looks more like a hernia at the navel.

I keep my eggs in an egg flat through te entire process. 18 days in the bator, then move the whole flat to the hatcher. I always have. (Cause I don't have the self control to stay out of it when they're knocking unhatched eggs around!)

Anyway, I have 3 eggs pipped at the wrong end right now!! What the crap!?!?!

Long long day ahead for me again, I have one goose and two quail eggs pipped. The goose started last night so I expect it wont be much longer before she starts zipping, quail just pipped this morning so I will maybe get to see them this evening.
I am looking for some info/help in hatching Toulouse goose eggs. I had a 50% hatch my first time (2/4). I incubated them like chicken eggs except I had a staggered chicken egg hatch going on with them and humidity was raised accordingly towards the end for each batch. I am thinking I just got lucky. They were all fertile from my neighbor and he wants me to try again. I am wondering about the cooling and misting. If and or when and how often etc. Any help would be appreciated!

This is my first time hatching geese...ever. So I won't be much help. I didn't do any cooling or misting with this group. :/ Have you taken a look at this thread? I found it very helpful.
