I keep telling myself I will not set more eggs!!! I have 30 babies in the brooder probably now, only 7 left in te grow out pen, and 41 eggs left in the bator on day 11. Chick selling is slowing down dramatically here. Everyone wants the big girls now. But, I don't really WANT to stop. :/ What time of year will be good to start hatching again? Like March? But that's SEVEN MONTHS!!! What will I do with no babies for THAT long? And I'll have SOO many eggs!!!

There is normally a good market for pullets at the end of winter so if you can hold onto them you could make good money

Yes. I figure I'll just keep what doesn't sell, pick what I wanna switch some of my not as pretty hens out with, then sell the rest later in the year. I may set ONE more hatch after the one that is in. lol I have a grow out pen, but it isn't very big. And I have a turkey pen and I'm getting rid of my turkeys, & plan to use that for my Polish that I'm going to start breeding next year. Maybe I'll keep y Polish in the grow out pen through winter, then use the turkey pen to grow pullets. Its HUGE!!! Lol I just don't know what I'll do with the cockerels! :/ They r EE's, so can't tell til about 8-10 weeks on sex. I def don't wanna kill them all. What do people do with them?
