Incubators Anonymous

I'm about to PEE myself I'm so excited!!! Sheri Minkner is shipping me 12+ eggs today!!!!!!! This will be the longest 3 weeks of my life! I've wanted some of her gorgeous birds for sooo long! But, I'm so nervous! I've NEVER had any luck with shipped eggs! I'm firing up my Hova Bator Genisis 1500, which I've had the most luck with, & adding NOTHING else to it except her eggs! Lol

I'd take them, but I can't handle the low hatch rates I've been getting. =(
I know I can get two of my minions on board with building me a basement (unfinished, of course), but I don't think I can get the permit from DH to get the work done.

I incubate in my basement for that reason it stays a fairly steady temp year round, and the humidity is right about 35 % year round I have a dehumidifier that keeps it there so a lot easier for me as i know there will be no temp spikes or drops..and it is is heated by my boiler pipes running all over so it stays about 65-7- year round. and it is also unfinsished so I brood there also as chick dust is no problem..I Have 2, 48 egg chinese incubator that costs between 119-179 on ebay one has been running for 7 months straight

..I need to either give my neighbors a bunch of eggs or pack the other one full I have about 4 dozen eggs in my basement on a shelf (great egg storage option also if you sell hatching eggs)..I get about 8- 10 eggs a day and have about 10 pullets ready to lay..anyone need some eggs to practice on?
What type of Bantam eggs do you have?

Calichick.. I have bantam eggs lol haven't got them seperated. Barred cochin,ee,columbian wyandotte I know are laying. Partride cochin, buff brahma are also in that pen. The little wyandottes stick to them selves so they are prob pure.I have my cochin roos locked up in a naughty boy pen untill they get over their teenage hormones...I will be separating the wyandottes as I have had people wanting eggs from them for months.

Shrink wrapped Serama. That is all.

I'm sure you know, but I thought I would throw this out there:
It can take 28 days for roosters' sperm to be completely eliminated from hens' laying system.
