What I see in the picture is 2 thermometers, not a thermostat. The thermostat when set will cycle your bulb/heat on and off as needed to keep the temp the same inside the incubator even if the room it is in gets colder or hotter. Google "wafer thermostat". You can get one to add to your incubator in the $20 range----then you can put a larger wattage bulb in it and it will cut the bulb on and off as needed. Some people get a hot water heater fthermostat from Lowes, etc because they are cheaper(less than $10)------you can You-Yube that to see how to modify it if you want to use one of those.Oooo so sorry. Good, if you have a real good hatch----you will probably be OK. My wifes son built one similiar to yours---except for using a hot water thermostat---he hatched 100% on his first hatch---30 some chicks. Good Luck!!Thanks! I will definitely look into that! I haven't have a big swing like that. I did when I had my other bator. The only time I was worried about the temp was when I had to raise the humidity so high by adding water and the fact that my hubby turned the temp in the house down. Grrrr. But other than that it's been holding steady between 99-100 on all 3 of my thermometers.![]()
But....... I will see what I can do. Thanks.
Hahaha...
Anyway yesterday I set my second ":test batch" in my new bator...33 Barnyard Mix eggs!!
