Some moisture is ok. Could be sticky too which is to much. Can't really say at this point.

thanks so much for the info I can only hope that I at least get one there is 24 total that at day 18 were right on track air cell was perfect removed the tray and everything before lockdown I had them small end down. The chick right now is peeping hopefully he makes it out

Because I don't keep track of there days. The only way I know I have a hatching is because they are chirping away in the cubby hole of the turner lol

Why?

Because I don't need too, they hatch just fine without me keeping track or interfering, Lock down was invented for humans to keep there hands off, at least that's my Theroy, Mine ALLL do fine, from day one to the end, hatching in the SAME bator, without any changes made to them..

So the question would be why not?

For about 2 years now, I have never kept track of my chickens, now my ducks oh that's an ALL new ball game. LOL

Well I don't know who answered my question for sure about the humidity if it was PD or lady cat anyway I have the hova bator 1602N thermal air incubator. The humidity always starts out a little high and then it just seems to fluctuate it's been raining a lot here and it's humid here and it's been going between 27 up to 33, mostly staying in the 20s upper 20s. I just candled my eggs for the first time its the seventh day. I have 16 eggs in the incubator and 15 of them are fertile. One was clear. In the Ameraucana eggs I could see three of them with chicks moving quite a bit. I held perfectly still so it wasn't my imagination and one of them was really moving a lot I was amazed actually. I didn't know you could see that this early in the game. I have a real good Candler and it shows up great in the blue eggs and pretty clear in the green ones. I'm real excited about my turn out on them today and I hope I get a good hatch rate also but who doesn't. Thanks for the input. Like I say it's been so humid here I haven't even had to add any water hardly this last few days.

Hi,I need some help! I am going into lockdown sat. in my 1588 genesus forced air! I took 6 readings center (98.3-98.5) front right (99.5-99.7) front left (98.0-98.1) left back (98.0-98.3) right back (95.7-96.0) center back (96.1-96.3) Should I raise temp or just not put any eggs in the back where it is reading low? I used the spot check therm!

I am not familiar with the stop check. How do you get it to the different areas without opening the lid?

How many days has the incubator been on?

Its the spot check by brinsea! I have 4 therms in my bator all reading different in the same spot! I figured this is the one that I heard was the most reliable! I open it but have waited a long time in between to check temp! The bator has been going 12 hour!
