Incubators Anonymous

Got 8 out and another pipping. One was taking too long and tried to shrink wrap but I got it out in time, I had to work fast. Going to check again in 30 minutes.

I figured since we'd been talking about Silver Sussex SS would mean Silver...

I want to be #2 on the list

. Are they the same size as the Coronation Sussex?

Actually , there were two people ahead of Aspen on the list. I may auction some when I get enough hatched to have more pullets. Yes, I would say they are as big as coronation, mine are about 6 months. Thanks for asking! Deb

I heard it was illegal to have an empty incubator:-D Check out my byc page for my breeds. Most of them are still laying. Yes, Aspen, I admit it, I am an enabler:lol:

Ok, i know it sounds bizarre, but I bought chickens today and I am not going to put a rooster in with them! My production reds will just be laying eggs for eating. So I don't even have to consider trying to hatch them;-) But I know that empty feeling. No empty bators, hatchers, brooders or coops allowed, it just feels wrong! Had more hatch today!

I don't think I could do it. I have a coop of just layers and my daughter came to me last weekend and said "I feel guilty eating these eggs I cooked, don't those eggs need to go in the bator too?" I'm rubbing off on her.
