Talked to a lady yesterday and she said she had good hatches with eggs in her fridge for 2 months!!!! I don't think she even turned them!

Well, naturally they last longer if kept cool. But I would rather spend my time and efforts on fresh eggs. Refrigerated eggs get sold fast for eating around here.

I got 9 for 9 on EMVickrey's eggs. 100% woo hoo! One just started walking funny. What is it called when they're legs are like.. going sideways. And what can I do for that.

Splay leg .. that's it. Thanks for that link too. I'm going to try that right now actually. I'll let you know how it turns out. BTW: This happened overnight. Literally.

What is the longest you have held eggs and had a good hatch?

Donna I have a book, an entire book!, devoted to hatching info. Gave a graph on hatching % by days old. THe hatch rate is best close to day one of course (90% )and quickly decreases. Day7 is 75% and day 10 is 65%. Just a guide. Seems eggs to be stored a long time should be at much colder temps. I stored eggs for 3 weeks when I only had one incubator, 1 hatched.

Good news! The marans eggs arrived today!! Both boxes! First time getting shipped eggs.

All look fine. Charm1704 sent lots of extras, including OE. So . . . . how long do I let the eggs rest? THey are cold and are now warming at room temp.
