My name is Gussie398 and I am perhaps the youngest BYC member and know I can never go back if I take this path. We have too many chickens (6) and I want MORE! And hatching will be the way to go.
Oh no, it's not even spring and I'm bidding on eggs AGAIN!
Welcome! Incubating is both fun and challenging, and addicting! Yup, you can never go back if you take this path. We'll help you. Help you incubate more eggs, that is. You have 6 chickens--what breeds or crosses do you have?
Anyone in Pasadena have any luck with Craigslist for baby chicks?
At the moment we have an Ameraucana who is probably an Easter Egger, a Rhode Island Red, a Plymouth Rock, a Black Sex-Link, a Delaware, and a Light Brahma. We have two too many, though. I'll keep 'em all though! Now, I need to convince my mum that we can give hatchees away, 'cause we can't keep anymore.
I'm setting R.I.R.s, Production Reds and some Production Buffs.JD--what are you setting??
Karen--He found the right girls!! Pure dorkings! You must be excited.![]()
I was talking to DH about the Easter Hatch. We had made the big effort of segregating the marans hens for someone who wanted pure marans for the Easter Hatch. However, she has changed her mind but how can I let these eggs now become breakfast? I though , heck, I'll do the Easter Hatch. DH is nixing it! Drat him!
