Incuview Incubator

Does the 21 days program include the 12-24 hours for stabilization before adding eggs?
No, it doesn't. When you receive your Incuview incubator it will come with instructions on how to make adjustments on any settings you choose. If you have questions, the folks at Incubator Warehouse have a live chat to help at their website, or you can give them a call, or you can post a question here and we will try to answer.

I'm just starting day 6 of my first incubation and all 8 eggs are fertile and developing perfectly. So far, I am thrilled with this incubator! :)

What I did ;)

So, did you do the 12-24 stabilization?
Did you then restart the 21 day program.... by unplugging....or....???

No, I actually let it run about 3 or 4 days before placing eggs inside. Besides checking the temp against other thermometers and the humidity with an extra hygrometer, I also filled the different channels for water in the bottom get an idea of what percentage of humidity each individual channel produced when it alone was filled with water and also different combinations of the channels. I wanted to get an idea of what channels, or combination of channels, produced the humidity ranges I would need for the eggs.

I chose to change the days of incubation time by doing the setting changes as explained on page 4 (near the top and in the middle of the page) of the instructions. If you have your instructions, check the heading that says "Hatch Timer". Unplugging your incubator will not reset the hatch timer. You do that by holding down the green enter button on the top for at least 3 seconds until the menu changes to the change settings mode. Then just hit the minus sign until you come up to "Hatch Tmr" on the screen. Press the green button again for just a second until an asterisk appears on the screen by the title. Then press either the plus or minus to add or subtract days. Then when you have it where you want, press the green button again to make the asterisk go away and hit the minus until the screen says exiting to main. It will automatically go to the main setting that shows the temp and day number. You are done! ;)

Has anyone adjusted any of the temp settings?
-Room Temp?
-Set Temp?
-Temp Calibration?

Yes, I have. I needed to calibrate just a bit. The temp on the LCD display did not match my two thermometers that I had to check the temp inside the incubator. Once I calibrated for our conditions in our home, it has been spot on. The most accurate thermometer I found to use for calibration has been the Brinsea glass thermometer or a human old style glass thermometer. I sat both up on a trimmed toilet paper ring with notches on it to hold the thermometers at egg level. I moved them around my incubator and the temperature was the same in all areas (middle, edges, corners, etc.). I found the calibration method easy once I adjusted it to get it spot on. If you'd like me to explain it, I'd be happy to do so in a subsequent post. It does explain the procedure on page 4 of the instructions under the Calibration heading, but it is a bit brief and I had to play around to get it where it made sense in my head. ;) I only needed to change the calibration a bit and change our thermostat from 68 at night to 70 so our living room was the correct temp range.

Yes, I have.
Thanks.
Not sure I need to....just bugging me that I can't adjust the heat myself as I'm used to. Looks like 'set temp' would be the way to do that.

I too check my therms against human therms, have a write up I was going to put in an article here, just haven't done it yet.
