Incuview Incubator

@Finnie which turner do you have for the 1588? I see that theres the up & down option or the rolling side to side one. (looking at incubator warehouse website)
My 1588 has the yellow rails. My Incuview has the rolling side to side. I've been happy with both kinds. Rails is nice, but I worry about the turkey eggs barely fitting, and since I don't have quail rails, when I hatched quail, I did them in the Incuview the whole time. Yeah, they got turned every which way, but it worked out fine.

I think that's one 'fault' if you want to call it that with the Incuview, they should have made an egg turner tray that has slots where it can be adjusted according to size of eggs. Shouldn't be that hard at all to implement that, the Chinese 12 egg incubator has an adjustable slot one..... not sure why Incuview didn't think it through and made it that way being as it's a bit more on the pricier side.

I'm feeling a little frustrated with my incuview this morning. It has such a narrow window of acceptable "room temperature," at least for my old farm house. I can't incubate when the weather is too warm because anytime my house temperature goes above 80 I have to be there to change the incubator temperature range. It never goes far above 80, but that's enough for the incubator to run over 100. This is an issue if I'm not home or don't notice, so I can't leave the house if I don't time it carefully. There's this narrow window in spring and fall where temperatures are easier to work with, although at the beginning of this incubation cycle I still had to adjust the room temperature setting twice daily when it was warm out. More recently it's been perfect, but last night I forgot to close a window and the temperature in my kitchen went down to 68.9. That's 1.1 degrees below the 70-80 range and was enough for the incubator to drop down to 98.8 until I noticed this morning. I've been trying so hard to keep everything optimal for them and my incuview is making it difficult. Will this variance affect my eggs and are all incubators like this?

@Ms Biddy the joys of the old farmhouses. I have mine in the upstairs guestroom of our old farmhouse. in the summer its at 70-80 range and I noticed that if I keep a fan going in the room the air movement seems to keep it right so that it doesn't go above. its winter here already (north dakota 8" of snow on the ground:barnie ) I have a cardboard box cut down that it sits in and I keep a towel over it as its in the 60-70 range but sometimes drops below that at night. it seems to be holding steady but this will be my last hatch till spring.

I can put it in the box, but I'd have to do that at night and take it out again during the day. I just feel like I'm dealing with goldilocks here.

ETA: Snow on the ground, oh my! Brrr

you could try towels around it and over the top at night? Mine covers 3/4 of the lid... not the air hole. the first hatch that I did in the early spring was like this also & I had put blankets around it and a towel on top. that seemed to help keep it regulated.

Thank you, the weather here has been in the 70's during the day. I couldn't incubate all summer so I waited patiently for fall. This is as good as it gets here.

good luck :) I'll be hoping for an early spring here! highs in the low 30s expected for the next week and more of the fluffy white crap. lol.

Thank you, I guess I'll find out soon enough. If it makes you feel better we had over 30 consecutive days above 100 this summer. I wouldn't trade you for the cold.

You can have that! No AC here tho.

Using a stable temped room for bator is most important....most bators cannot keep up with too big a temp swing.....pick the middle ground for Incuviews 'room temp' setting.
