Indian runner duck attack

Hello everyone! I’m new here and this morning I found my female Indian runner duck Lily scooting on her belly wings flapping after what I’m assuming was an attack by a hawk. The only visible injuries are to her eyes and beak. She can stand for a short time but falls over and doesn’t walk. She is eating, drinking and using the bathroom fine. I have her separated from the flock. I read that her not walking could possibly be from a concussion? Does anyone have any advice? I just want to make sure I’m doing everything I can for her. Thank you

Could be a concussion but when hawks hit their prey they hit hard. My Muscovy female survived a hawk attack but lost sight in one of her eyes. Clean her wounds real well with a saline rinse if you haven't already and you can also use Veterycin for wounds and infection on her face it is safe also Banixx. If her eye look like they are getting infected there is also Terramycin eye ointment. Hopefully rest and good TLC from you and she will recover completely.

Thank you so much for the information and a warm welcome. I let her float in a warm tub tonight and she enjoyed that, still has a hard time moving around even in water. I used saline for her eyes and cleaned them as good as I could in the bathtub. She is nestled in her box in the bathroom safe for the evening. I’ll keep everyone posted

She is very sore. I gave her some tub time this morning and took her outside in a towel to get fresh air, sunshine, and say hello to the flock (I held her the whole time of course). She was vocal and happy to see them. Washed her eyes with saline. She seemed like she had a harder time eating so I made her some rice and she ate a little of that. Resting and getting lots of love from me. Thanks for checking in

You might try making her feed soupy sometimes they will drink it if they don’t feel like eating. I’m sure she’s sore it’s a miracle she is still alive after a hawk attack. Thanks for updating.

Update on Lily: She’s now standing on her own and cleaning herself. She laid an egg for me in the tub yesterday. Significantly improving
