I understand it’s hard to rehome. I just did it with a Runner drake who hatched last June which gave me 3 Drakes but thankfully he did go to a good home where he has his own females. My Runners have always been accepting but I do introduce new comers through fencing for a few days just so they can meet and greet. The Buff only took a day but I had 2 Buffs already and the Runner and Cayuga took a few days longer because Olive the Cayuga thought it was her duty to protect her best Bud the Runner from all the big bad ducks. She finally got over it. lol
