Indiana 2010 Chickenstock-2011 NEWS!!

Ok folks anyone bringing a Quail D Anvers roo for sale???? I have a friend who wont be able to attend due to farmers market and she asked me to purchase one for her ...... If so I would love a photo I can send to her...

Well have yet to sell it, and I need to renew my bike plates so I'm goinging to sell it cheap. Its a old 1940's redwood sears/leathy incubator. Holds 600 eggs. I can post more pictures if desired. 250 cash takes it. Would be happy to haul it to chickenstock.

I don't think I need such a big incubator, lol, but as far as the Polish hen goes, I think we might be interested in her. My kids have been after me for Polish for awhile, but I'm not crazy about all the colors they come in, but I LOVE Buff Laced. Also like White, Splash, and few other colors. And if she likes to be held, she'll fit in great here. Most of my hens like being held and my kids will happily oblige. So will I! I have a Cochin hen that gets underfoot and trips us just so we'll scoop her up and hug and kiss her. So I love the friendly ones.

Out of curiosity, is anyone bringing Faverolles? White or Salmon? Bantam or Standard? That's another breed I'm interested in, plus I think my neighbor is looking for a pullet. I have to ask her again. If not, there's always next year. I'm in no rush to jump into that breed, but I find them to be beautiful and would like to eventually invest in that breed.

Getting closer!!!

I am still able to bring hatching eggs (if requested!)of :

LF White Leghorns (trio)
Bantam Wyandottes (Blue male, 2 black hens and 1 blue hen)
Coturnix quail (jumbo male,2 jumbo hens,2 cinnimon hens,1 tibetan tux hen, 1 tibetan hen, and 1 english/italian hen)

I will not bring any if no one requests them

I am looking for:
1 or 2 Ostrich or emu eggs (1 to eat and 1 to blow out)
6-12 coturnix quail egg cartons (should be getting some but might need more LOL)
1 single nest box for my leghorn hen that lives in the house

I am willing to pay for these items if anyone has these!

I might not be able to come if Kernals spurrs don't get better. I think they are very badly infected...

I have him on penicillan (sp?) tablets but nothing else. I have them bandaged up but I changed them last night and there were some spots that were green

I am still on the hunt for frizzled polish of any color if anyone has them. I would also take frizzles of any breed. If anyone has d'uccles for sale, I am looking for porcelain, golden neck and mille fleur. I think thats it. Until I remember something else.

I have two Little Giant tabletop incubators if anyone is interested--still air and no turner. I used them for hatching after incubating in my Brower until I bought my cabinet incubator and hatcher. One definitely shows signs of wear (no way to really clean the hatching stains out of styrofoam) but the other is a little newer. I will dig them out and check to see that they're still working okay.
