Tonight I've been doing a lot of cooking and started thinking about Chicken Stock last year and how things have changed since.
Last year I went for the experience because I knew I *wanted* to be a chicken owner even though I'd never owned a chicken in my life. I also didn't know when or how I'd be able to get housing set up to keep them and I had no idea what I would do with them when I did!
At this point last year, animal-wise, I had just two dogs and a cat. Now I have two dogs, a cat, a Flemish Giant rabbit, twenty six chickens (mostly RIR), honeybees I captured as a swarm and put in a hive my dad and I built, and now, 18 week-old guinea keets.
My what a difference a year makes!
It will be nice to go and actually be a bit more familiar with what I see and have a few months of chicken ownership under my belt as well.
Can't wait to see you all (again)!
Kathleen, you and Rob seriously rock for doing this.
