Indiana 2010 Chickenstock-2011 NEWS!!

I just saw our non-feathered friends Rob and Kathleen on Fox 59 news this morning. The chicken Kathleen was holding looks a lot like my Foghorn. I wonder if she is crossed with that. And that rooster Rob was holding jumped on the table and crowed. I laughed so hard I cried.

For the life of me I can't think of the anchor's name(my internet is being ridiculous this morning and I can't check their website). The look on his face was priceless.

I can't wait for Chickenstock. My niece is bouncing with anticipation too!

I was just hoping that he didn't jump down off of the table and make me chase him around the studio! The anchor's (Scott) reaction was very priceless! The little chicken that Kathleen was holding (Pearl) is a pure breed Serama though, I'm not really sure what breeds they orignally used to come up with them. For the most part they were very well behaved. Glad you got to see it, we were VERY nervous! We actually recorded on our DVR but we don't have a way to make a DVD. I tryed to record the TV playing it with our video camera but it didn't really turn out very well. They told us if we want a copy of it we will need to purchase it for 10 dollars and it wasn't available yet. All in all though, I feel that it went well except that Kathleen didn't get a chance to say all of what she planned to.

I updated my post above with prices.....

I have one of the crested babies here at home right now that's probably a week or more, and I'm not sure what all ages he has on hand right now. Most would be pretty young I think, a few weeks and under....

I'd like to get 2 or 3 of these please.

I think I need to be starting a list! Of what I'm taking for who and what I'm getting from who!

Another update:

If anybody wants any melanistic pheasant chicks that'd be about a week and a half old, I can get some of those too...$4 each.

They are from my eggs, but my neighbor bought/traded eggs from me and they are hatching out now. I haven't hatched any out myself for a while now, been selling eggs.

Thats what I did. My memory for names is about as long as the thickness of a thread. I have my list right next to the computer so when I make a deal I write with who and what im trading and what i'm getting. I plan to put the peoples screen name on the things they are getting so all they have to do is walk by and see their name and know they found me.
