I would take the Meaties too. I would love to raise some for our freezer, but I want to try a few before I commit to a lot, just to see if I can do it!
Siler, I am sorry about your hen. I lost my RP turkey on Friday so I know what you mean.

He didn't like to be petted, but he followed us around everywhere! I liked him even more than I liked my chickens!

I left them all penned up on Saturday because I could hardly stand to go out and not see him.

Ok I've been soaking Kernals new spurrs in epson salt water for about 15-20 minutes each time. Surprisingly he didn't mind at all just fell asleep against me. For the first few minutes he kept lifting 1 foot up out of the water so I think it stung a little but after a few minutes he stopped doing it.

Here are his spurrs... Nasty isn't it? My poor boy

Lol ohhhhh I got ya now! Her name is buffy...."go figure right?" Lol. She's is just comeing down from her first molt so her tail feathers are a bit scragley, but she's looking better and better each day.
