I live in Greenville In and I have a smal flock of 15 chickens. I have 14 silkies and 1 ameracuana. I have only had chicken since May of last year. I have fallen in love with them and can't wait to get more. I am looking to add a few more ameracuanas to my flock if anyone has some for sale.
 
Im back! My wife is doing better now she just got out of hospital today. Baby is doing great. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. I will not go back and read through all the post I missed.

No eggs yet, but they are mating and the cocks, jeckel and hyde are really mean right now. One is actually attacking my poor rooster and winning. Not happy with hyde, he almost became soup yesterday. He is pecking and pulling feathers off my chickens! Then at feeding time, he bit my leg

Snatched him up the the neck and counted to 10. Setting up a temporary guinea coop to get them separated. If i didn't love the pearl hen Quasey i have so much the rest would be in the freezer.
 
My wife is due April 8th but they dont think she will make it that long. Meaning she might have it sooner. lol Looks like i missed alot in the last few days on here. Welcome all new members!! Brad and I won 10 plus 2 extra eggs on ebay and they are in so now i have to meet up with him to pick up my half. They are Gold Silver Campine. Cant wait to get them in incubator and hatch them. Its nice to have someone live close that we can go in on eggs together works great for both of us. We both get eggs and we can split the cost.

CraftyChick: I remember when we got our first little easter egger egg and I dropped it right away. LOL

I had a chicken math attack! 15 lavender orpington arrived today! they are totally precious! And yes, already pooping in the food

He wolfed down a huge helping of fermented feed, messy boy!



DH is going to check with the local PDs to make sure he isn't reported lost. He is just beautiful. Spent an hour tonight giving him mealies and making friends. He is a bit nippy but still very frightened. needs a little boost tho his comb is a little pale. I was able to pick him up bare handed to check him over today and i see a bumblefoot, but other wise super clean and healthy. Going to keep him in the quarantine room until his foot heals.
