INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

The suspense is getting to me. Did you make the trip? if so what did they have and what did you get. Can you believe I forgot to get more of those plastic tray feeders while I was in Bloomington?

lo sorry to leave you hanging. They had strait run cornish cross, "ameraucana" pullets, and RIR pullets. They had 6 easter eggers left, got them all, and I got 2 RIRs.

Ok, non chicken question.

I have netflix. I originally signed up for the free month. I'd keep it for a while then cancel due to the lack of movies on it. They send me another email several months later giving me another free month. I sign back up and then cancel after a few months. Well I'm about to cancel again and considering going with redbox instant. Anyone have this? Is the movie selection any better?

I think I'm about the only person my age who doesn't have satellite or cable tv. I'm just too cheap for satellite (only thing I can get). So I just have the Farmer 5 (abc, NBC, CBS, PBS, and fox which is now like 15 channels since digital over the air came about) and have a Roku. Just curious if redbox instant is worth it (even though they emailed me a free month trial as well I just hate giving debit card number if I don't have to). What about Hulu plus?

I don't know how old you are, but we are in our 30s and don't have television of internet at home. Instead we buy DVDs and have a super nice screen. Our internet is through our cell phones. There are no cables, other than electric, coming into our house. We were going to try avoiding even being hooked up to the electric grid but could not find a reliable power source in our budget. One day our roof will be covered with solar panels.

a couple of my golden comet / buff brahma cross chicks at around three weeks. My lil Sebright silkie cross is getting the silver lacing. He (or hopefully she) is hard to photograph against the grass but I'll get a decent one eventually!

I'm 26. I'm sure the only reason I have Internet is due to getting it for free. Telephone company has brick building on the edge on my property. So I get free internet for them leasing the property (already had the contract when I bought the house, otherwise I would have asked for more lol). I recently cancelled my cell phone plan and went prepaid. I can't do with out electricity though lol.

that's funny. I go off and on Netflix all the time and just told the DH today I'm planning on canceling satellite and just doing Netflix again for awhile. We have amazon prime too which isn't much different. Let me know how the redbox thing goes I didn't even know about that one. I did check out Hulu plus and I thought the selection kind of stunk.
i like the idea of redbox due to unlimited streaming and 4 rental credits a month for only $8. While having netflix I still rent quite a few redbox movies.

I come home this evening after work and head out to the bantams to grab the eggs I obviously could not get too (see previous picture).
Orange and Momma are in the exact positions they were this morning. Momma stealing two spare eggs that would have been laid right by her. Both were grumpy as heck removing them to grab the eggs and both lay as flat as pancakes in their new placed spot off the nest. DH gave them both a back scratch and a pat on the butt to direct them to the door.
Both returned within 2 mins. Instead of the roost, they are both in their nesting spots, even though they are egg less.

Going to give them a few days of shoving them off the nests, if things look promising I may get some eBay eggs and see how it goes.:weee

We do not have cable/satalite either. Too much money for junk tv and informercials. We do Netflix.
We normally rehash alot of what we watch and DH digs through and finds some decent series to watch on occasions. I have not heard of the redbox online thing. I assume it is more up to date movies than Netflix offers.
Hulu was used by DH for a while but he switched that to the Amazon thing. I think Hulu is more recent shows rather than movies, but I could be wrong., but with amazon you kinda pay as you go rather than having a reoccurring fee.

I too went with a pay as you go phone. Sick of shelling out fees and overages for my phone. Costs us $90 a month for two cell phones unlimited everything. I'll take that everytme.
