INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

Hi, I sure don't but maybe try contacting the Cooperative extension for terre haute (4H, etc) they should be able to help you locate someone/somewhere. Another thought is check online in a google search.

Is anyone near Terre Haute that can help or suggest anything?

Its not Terre Houte, but the Bargersville Vet might do some boarding. I'm sure a vet would know someone who knows someone though. www.bargersvillevet.com

Has anyone had to stack eggs in their incubator? I ran out of room because i wasnt expecting to get 57 eggs today just 32. I had to stack them on top of each other just to get them to fit in there. I really need another incubator FAST!!!! I think i will have to go out to garage and build another temp one. Im out of thermos tho. Here is a few pics of the eggs in just my cooler bator.

I have 101 eggs in incubators!!!!! Is this crazy? I just got back from picking up 57 eggs for free from a guy in fort wayne. They are suppose to be all different breeds and fertile. I had to double stack some in one of my incubators. Has anyone had to do this before? I need another incubator. Guess i will have to try to build another one.

Does anyone think i will have problems incubating the eggs in the cooler bator till my little ones hatch in my LG? My LG batch is due to hatch on the 25th so not that long to go. Then once i get all those chicks out i will move some of the other eggs over to the LG.

I have no experience with hatching like that (ok practically no experience hatching! Lol) but if all else fails, TSC still has LG and turners on sale for $34.99 each. I'm thinking of picking up another LG bator to use as a hatcher and another turner to have on hand, just in case I need it.

I think as long as the ventilation's good, and you are able to turn them all you are ok! Think about it, theres so many that just leave the hens to do it. I keep laughing at myself i get so worked up over temperatures, humidity

My hubby just laughs at me and tells me to quit overthinking it all!

then 5 minutes later i see him peering at my notes, and peeking in the bators!!! Hahaha, busted buddy!
