Hello everyone. Newbies here from the Bedford area with 10 Rhode Island Red hens. We started with 6 pullets this spring (2 of which ended up being roosters & are gone) and then we just adopted 6 more laying hens from friends of ours about 2 weeks ago. So much to learn from this site and I know we've got some questions still too. We've done a bit of experimenting with different ideas along the way so far. Some ideas okay, some not so okay and then some worked out like a champ! So far so goodHave been doing some reading here at BYC and I'm glad to see so many folks here from the Hoosier state

Its ok to talk about your new puppy, kids graduation, or just vent about your bad day

Had to comment on this one..
Anyone that has ever had eggs shipped from you KNOWS your attention to detail, fastidious packaging and shipping.
that said, anyone thats ever bought shipped eggs knows the risks, 50% hatch is the usual max.
I have had a few zero hatch shipments this year, and dealt with some very dishonest sellers.
You are being more than fair, down right generous.

Thank you!welcome to our thread and best of luck to you!![]()
One good argument is that the city of indianapolis allows chickens, tell them they need to get with the times!
