INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

be interesting to figure it out! But they are all just too sweet.
When I give the hens baths, I'll see who is vaulted. Ashes is I think, my blue, she is the momma of the blues and splashes, but the partridge is a mystery. I have had 3 partridge so far, including yours from my girls, so there must be some in the genetics. Miss Henley 10 weeks. Sweetest little thing, follows us around. By the way the little blacks butt cracks me up. How are their toes?

I decided to take a few of some chicks still in the house. Both showgirls and the silkie are from my birds, the serama and orloff came in a mix of eggs. Not sure what I'm going to do with those two. If the orloff turns out to be a pullet, I'll add her to my free ranging flock. But the serama cockerel, I'll likely rehome.

Showgirls. I had two others I had hatched out, but sold them. One had incorrect number of toes and the other was sold with it for a buddy. Still regret selling them lol.

Aww they are getting big! Their mommas are at it again lol!
Anytime Brad, well when they pick back up laying again, I can' guarantee partridge until I have breeding pens, but I can offer a box of chocolates.. :)
That's fine with me! My girls have slowed down. Still getting a couple eggs a day from the newest group. But my original partridge showgirls/silkies pen has stopped laying. Getting about 3-4 eggs daily and back up to around 8-10 quail eggs!

they definatley look like hawks, my remaining orloff is named hawk. The other was named sparrow

Yes, they will be English Orps, but it won't be from a controlled breeding. So it would be a genetic grab bag. Not the best if you wanted to breed, but just fine for layers/ pets. Also, I was being nice on the price because I know you would take care of them.

They will be lovely fluffy butts. She is setting 10 eggs right now. If you wanted chicks that are several weeks old then it would be more expensive.
Kiniska ~ I knew and appreciate that you were offering me a special price, but I wondered since I had paid a lot more for my orps. I knew that you had gotten a English orp black roo, so I figured if the male and females were English, they'd cost more. I am not interested in breeding because when thread members start discussing genetics, my eyes start glazing over. The same thing happens when people start talking about numbers and statistics.

I would really like to get two, and I could easily keep them in the house until they are feathered since my DH and I are rattling around in a three story house (walk-out finished basement). I just have to figure out the best method to communicate with DH. haha Maybe someone wanted to give them to me as a present and I could just say no! He enjoys our chickens-- the only down-side is the poop. During warm months, we constantly hose down the deck and walk, but the hose is unhooked in cold temps. That's a nice thing about Bonbon the bantam-- small poop. I was really happy to recently learn that as far as the county law (I live right outside the city limits), I can have as many chickens as I want! Except I live in a subdivision with .75 of an acre lot.

I'd like to get them when they're little so they'd bond to me. So will it be about two weeks? I am still pondering . . . you know how that goes-- "I shouldn't, but . . ."
