INDIANA BYC'ers HERE!

I called Orschelns today and they said next Friday. They were scheduled to get a shipment tomorrow but due to storms they delayed it a week. They had a very nice selection last year including naked necks, LF polish, guineas, geese, etc. I didn't pay too much attention to the other chicks as I wanted more of he oddball breeds. I really shouldnt be looking But if they have naked necks again, I'm grabbing them!

They told me what they was going to get in. They also gave me a list of what breeds they can get and I can order them and have them shipped to store just for me. Thats why im in no hurry to go out and buy bunch of chicks. LOL

Crafty... Thank you so much for looking at my breeds. I had some ideas but as I am not super familiar with all the breeds. As for the toe... He is still moving around like a trooper.. Had thought about splinting the toe with a matchstick going to be doing that tonight.

I can definitely confirm TSC in Greenfield and Brookville road Indianapolis has chicks in. Orschelns Greenfield will be in next Friday.

For example, I'd like to see headings for the posts about food fermentation, remedies for parasites, photos, etc. I suppose that would compete with the overall BYC site. Since I am fairly new to BYC, maybe I just don't know how to navigate it very well.

Stopping now I can go hours talking fermentation!

It takes a little time to learn the navigation, I just ask a ton of questions if i don't know

One fast way to find a post, if you remember what thread it was on... go to that thread, up at the top of the page where it will say

"search this thread" and type in a few words you remember being said on the post, or topic you are looking for.It should pop up several you can navigate to or it may be just the one you needed! If i pick the wrong one i arrow back a page. Hope that helps!
Mother2Hens: I decided to cut and paste the conversations that relate to what I am talking about instead of quoting entire sections. I hope that isn't against the rules! Thank you for your suggestions about navigating the site and organizing the information. I just ran across a post about the necropsy results about natural wormers not working, which is another topic I have been interested in. It may have been one of you who posted that you had been researching that subject. Anyway, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. For example, maybe I could select a topic, and go through posts and copy and paste just the information about that topic in chronological order and adding the screen name of the person who posted the info. One topic would be on one document or page, and the info would be concise. I would update it a couple of times a week. I don't know if that is a possibility, but from my perspective, I think that it would be time efficient and to the point for people who want information on certain topics.

Just wanted to share a project I'm going to start on. It is going to be a cabinet Incubator. I had this cabinet sitting around for long time and over the years it started falling apart but im going to fix it back up and turn it into a incubator. It seems perfect the door already has a spot for me to put glass in it. It originally had wood slats in door.

And your not posting the list?!? Is it everything that Estes Hatchery offers on their website?
